Sergeant Township is a small, rural township located in south-central McKean County, Pennsylvania. Established in the early 1800s and officially incorporated in 1854, the township is known for its heavily forested landscape, rolling hills, and quiet countryside near the Allegheny National Forest. With a population of fewer than 200 residents, Sergeant Township is one of the least densely populated areas in the region. The township’s history is rooted in logging and early settlement, and today it remains a peaceful area valued for outdoor recreation, hunting, and its natural beauty.
